Souvenir's Young America and City of Ships performed at an inaugural 802 Booking Collective show at Flynndog last night. The two bands are based in Virginia and stopped in Burlington on their way from Maine. Bren Alvarez, owner and curator of the Flynndog art space at 208 Flynn Avenue, extended the gracious invitation to bring these two (loud) sets of aggressive-leaning post-rock to her gorgeous space. Look for more music of all kinds to end up in the mix during art openings - this event coincided with a reception for Jeff Clarke's exhibit of black and white silver gelatin landscape prints of the Adirondacks and Andes.
