In the world of metal today... You basically have your Coca-Colas, and you have your Pepsis. That same metal taste in a different metal can... Well, as for TIMELESS... They are the Dr. Peppers of this scene.” For fans of Judas Priest & Metallica to Unearth & Lamb of God, METAL is TIMELESS and TIMELESS is METAL.

FIRE THE CANNONS

Tuesday August 29 at 8pm, 9pm & 10pm
LOBOT
Download MP3: "Beautiful Bones"

"Burlington's Lobot are possibly the most unabashedly rock-centric band in the area. Unlike other B-town acts, there's not even a hint of jam, jazz, shoegazer, indie-pop or alt-country in their music. With densely layered, snarling guitars and darkly melodic vocals, the quartet's sophomore release, If It's You, It's Me, sounds like a cross between British neo-proggers Muse and American psych-metal architects Jane's Addiction... If you like darkly atmospheric rock, 'If It's You, It's Me' is sure to impress. Sludgy, sinister and surprisingly melodic, Lobot are a unique breed." - Casey Rea, Seven Days

Waiting for a Miracle

Wednesday August 30 at 8pm, 9pm & 10pm
WAITING FOR A MIRACLE
Download MP3: "Designated Liar"

Hailing from Burlington, VT this 5-piece rock outfit is ready to take over the world. Ok, so maybe not the world...but lets just say if rock n roll was a war, Waiting for a Miracle are the reinforcements being sent in. Made up of Vermont natives Joe Villemaire, Matt Barron, Hans Olson, Shane Moody, and Matthew O'Neil, the band honed it's unique blend of metallic rock and melodic hardcore whilst an influence of pop with live shows throughout the New England area during 2006. Founding members Matt Barron and Joe Villemaire had been working out the lineup since early 2005 until fate brought these 5 lads together. Joe Villemaire and Hans Olson have common ground in their history within the infamous Drowningman. Villemaire performed on the groundbreaking "How They Light Cigarettes in Prison" EP and "Rock and Roll Killing Machine" LP and the tours that followed while guitarist Hans Olson recorded and toured in the revived 2005 line-up of the band. Signing on with Thorp Records in the summer of 2006, Waiting for a Miracle will enter the studio this fall to record their debut full length LP due out in Spring 2007.

Drive the Hour

Friday September 1 at 8pm, 9pm & 10pm
DRIVE THE HOUR

Local rockers Drive the Hour formed in 2004, and after some lineup changes and the release of their 7-song EP 'We Ain't Going In This Looking Guilty,' the three-piece has been working hard on writing new material and getting stage exposure around Burlington. Songs find their roots between punk's in-your-face ethos and prog rock's non-linear composition, and their high-energy sound and catchy hooks promise to keep you wanting more.

James Kochalka Superstar

Saturday September 2 at 8pm, 9pm & 10pm
JAMES KOCHALKA SUPERSTAR
Download MP3: "Hockey Monkey"

For many years, James Kochalka has had an international cult following for his quirky, catchy music as well as for his idiosyncratic comics and graphic novels. His song Hockey Monkey was the #1 most requested song this summer on the SIRIUS satellite network's Alt Nation. Hockey Monkey is also being used as the theme-song to the new FOX sitcom The Loop.

Sunday September 3 at 8pm, 9pm & 10pm
CARACALLA

"The four song disc is one of the best metal offerings I've heard this year, locally or nationally. All the staple ingredients are here, from howling vocals and ridiculously complex guitar figures to blast beats and half time breakdowns. Yet while many of their musical peers sound too mechanical, Caracalla tears into thier tunes with passion that borders psychotic." Casey Rea (Seven Days)

Monday September 4 at 4pm, 5pm & 6pm
CLOSE TO NOWHERE
Download MP3: "Songs From the Living"

When they play, there ain't no half-steppin'. Close to Nowhere wants to have a good time and wants everyone there to have a good time too.
