June 12, Fiction Productions rocks the roof off of Club Millennium in Burlington, Vermont. The SUMMER SKOOL show will showcase the maddeningly loud rock and roll of Burlington and Barre, and attempt to pay BHW's maddeningly overwhelming electricity bill. The bands making it happen are: TORSION, STMP, SERENADE TO NOTHING (formerly known as 11th HOUR), PRISONER 13, SUFFER THE MASSES, and DOWNSLIDE. WRECKINGHORN RELEASE NEW DISC:
Vermont's own skameisters WRECKINGHORN will be releasing the 'SHOPPING CART RALLY' CD on Thursday, June 21 at Higher Ground in Winooski, Vermont. The show includes BIG D AND THE KID'S TABLE, DAY 19, THE BAZOOKAS, and WRECKINGHORN themselves. $8, doors open at 6:00 pm. Bring an extra $10 and pick up your own copy of the brand-spankin' new 'SHOPPING CART RALLY' CD. JKS INVADES FRANCE, PORTUGAL:
Artist and purveyor of true rock and roll JAMES KOCHALKA SUPERSTAR has recently seen his "Monkey vs. Robot" video (directed by Nate Pommer) shown at the Cannes Film Festival in France. "Monkey vs. Robot" has also been licensed to the SCI-FI channel for airplay later this year. CDNOW has ALSO snapped up the rights to "Monkey vs. Robot" for use in a television advertisement campaign. AND, James' art work from the CD booklets of "Monkey vs. Robot", and "Carrot Boy" have just finished a run on display in the Salao Lisboa gallery in Lisbon, Portugal.
MUSICIAN ART ON DISPLAY AT RED SQUARE:
Artist Martin Milan's show entitled "DJ CULTURE" is now on Display at Red Square in Burlington, Vermont. Milan's (AKA Kyle "Fattie B" Thompson) is showing fifteen acrylic pieces and is up until the end of June. Get to the Square and check it out! Red Square is located at 136 Church Street in Burlington, Vermont.
THE BAZOOKAS GOT NEWS:
The Bazookas are in the midst of planning to record a new album with 10-13 tracks of both new and already-classic material; recording should begin very soon. The Bazookas also now have T-shirts available for sale at their shows, like the June 21 Wreckinghorn CD release party (see above).
