so i've got this real siq guitar. it's an 80's hondo series 760. i want to get it up and running, well. i'm looking for a few opinions on some things before i do it. i'm not looking to spend a ridiculous amount of money; just what's needed to make it BADASS. it's already got a good start, being TEAL FLAKE SPARKLE and all. and having a really nice neck. (i just looked it up to see what other people are doing for upgrades on it, and it seems many people agree.)
here's what it is:
strat-style guitar with regular strat cutouts and and routings and such.
routed for 3 strat pickups.
maple (aged look) neck with a really nice subtle figure
teal sparkle (not the pearlescent type, more like a flake sparkle, with the bigger metallic grain.)
routed for standard strat trem bridge (apparently the original bridge is actually higher mass, and made better than the strat bridges at the time, too bad i don't have it)
this is what i'm thinking i want to do with it:
dual p90's (which will require some routing, which i can do)
some sort of upgraded bridge. i'd like hardtail, but i'm not sure if there's a good solution to that given the routing it already has. i suppose i could to floyd rose, but i don't want to spend that much.
copper shielding
not sure yet on pickguard color, hardware color, or pickup color, etc.
warmoth does custom cut pickguards that i think i'm gonna do. (it's the only way i know of to get a soapbar setup.) i can get it with two knobs and a selector switch.

any suggestions?
